Residential Climate Survey

Lanark Country is developing a Climate Action Plan (CAP) for the whole of Lanark County and Smiths Falls. It will provide an Action Plan for the next 10 years for both County municipal operations as well as the community as a whole (homes, cottages, businesses, transportation, energy use, agriculture, etc.).

Our local governments control or influence 50% - half - of our Greenhouse Gas emissions through their decisions on buildings, how we transport ourselves, location of workplaces, stores and homes, how we produce food and how we deal with waste. The Climate Action Plan will identify ways to minimize Greenhouse Gas (GHG) generation.
