ATTENTION SNOWMOBILERS!
CHECK OUT EASTERN ONTARIO'S NEWEST SNOWMOBILE LOOP
As part of Lanark County Tourism Association’s recent funding from the provincial government, they have developed a snowmobile loop called the Ontario East Rails & Trails Loop.
The loop is approximately 267 kms of beautiful wintry terrain on the Ottawa Valley Recreation Trail (OVRT). This loop will take you on a scenic adventure as it crisscrosses the Mississippi River several times and traverses through Canadian Shield Territory. Travel through a winter wonderland, picture-perfect small towns and protected wildlife corridors along trails and former railbeds. Lanark County's local communities and businesses are ready to warm you from the inside out! Visit our Tourism page to view the Rails & Trails Brochure to plan your trip!
Please note loop access is subject to trail availability. Please consult the Interactive Trail Guide to view current availability. A valid Ontario trail permit from the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) is required to travel on this loop.
