NOTICE – SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT DECLARATION

Due to the forecasted weather, Tay Valley Township is declaring a Significant Weather Event under Ontario Regulation 239/02, Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways, effective Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 10:00pm, until further notice.

The declaration suspends the standard timelines required for Tay Valley Township to meet its winter maintenance obligations.

Crews will work diligently to ensure public safety, but it may take longer than normal to maintain the roadways.  Residents are encouraged to limit travel and avoid unnecessary travel to allow crews to clear the roads safely and quickly.

The Township will provide an update when the declaration has ended.
