Compensation and Pay Equity Review
At a ‘Special’ meeting of Tay Valley Township Council on June 25, 2024, Council passed a motion authorizing the updating of the pay grid for non-unionized employees, retroactive to January 1st, 2024, and providing for a 3.5% cost of living allowance increase for 2025. Council also directed a consultant and the CAO/Clerk to negotiate with unionized employees regarding updating the pay grid applicable to them.

Orria Nielsen, a graduate of Perth & District Collegiate Institute is this year’s recipient of the Tay Valley History Scholarship. Orria, who is pursuing her studies in archeology at Trent University, received a cheque in the amount of $1,200 and a copy of the legacy book At Home in Tay Valley.

Construction Notice - Rehabilitation of Bathurst 7th Concession and McVeigh Road
Starting July 3, 2024, there will be daily lane closures on Bathurst 7th Concession from Harper Road to 153 McVeigh Road. Please expect small delays while the roadwork is being completed.
Daily lane closures will occur until approximately August 30, 2024. Bathurst 7th Concession and McVeigh Road will be open to 2 lanes of traffic every night and every weekend.

Parks Canada's water management team continues to actively monitor water levels, flows, and weather forecasts across the Rideau Canal National Historic Site of Canada. These factors are used to determine dam operations on a daily basis for the Rideau Canal National Historic Site of Canada.
