A permit is NOT required when you...
- construct a detached accessory building that is 14.8 m2 (160 sq. ft.) in area or less
- paint and decorate
- install kitchen or bathroom cupboards (but you need to be aware of minimum clearances required between cooking appliances and combustible cabinets and finishes)
- do landscaping
- install roof shingling (except clay tile roof)
- install eavestroughing
- make minor repairs to non-structural bricks or blocks
- damp-proof a basement

Partial Open Air Burn Ban in Effect
Due to dry conditions, a partial open air burn ban is now in effect. Only residential fires are permitted at this time. Agricultural fires are prohibited until further notice. Residential fires must be closely monitored and completely extinguished when finished.
A fire permit is required for all open air burning. To obtain a fire permit please logon to https://dnetv.burnpermits.com/ or call 613-267-2596 ext. 4.

Bolingbroke Cemetery By-Law
The Corporation of Tay Valley Township owns and operates the Bolingbroke Cemetery under License #CM-01931.
The Township will be submitting a proposed new Bolingbroke Cemetery By-Law to the Registrar of the Funeral, Burial, and Cremation Services Act, 2002.

New and Improved Glen Tay Swimming Area
Tay Valley Township is pleased to announce that the popular Glen Tay Swimming Area has a whole new look and feel, with:
- accessible picnic tables;
- an information kiosk;
