Tay Valley Township is known for its lakes, rivers, agricultural lands and rural communities, and the Planning Department guides development in order to maintain the community landscape.
Under the Planning Act, the Planning Department ensures proposed developments comply with the Township’s Official Plan, Zoning By-Law, Ontario Building Code and other Municipal By-Laws.
Services offered by the Planning Department include Zoning By-Law Amendments, preparation of site plan control and development agreements, minor variances and preliminary comments for severances.
Tay Valley Township’s Planner, Noelle Reeve, MCIP, PP, is available five days a week, and appointments can be made with the Planner or Chief Building Official through the Administrative Assistant, Janie Laidlaw at 613-267-5353 ext.129.
