Tay Valley Township residents have free access to the Perth and District Union Public Library, situated by the Little Tay River, beside the Old Firehall on Herriot Street in Perth.
The service has been a union library since 1983, when the townships surrounding the Town of Perth agreed to share in the library’s cost and management.
The Library Board has three appointees from each of the three municipalities: the Town of Perth and Tay Valley Township and Drummond/North Elmsley Township.
Tay Valley Township’s Board appointees are Councillor RoxAnne Darling and residents Carol Rigby and Brian Sutton.
