Tay Valley is home to two Ontario Provincial Parks, both with trails:

Murphy’s Point Provincial Park
This park has numerous trails including the Rideau Trail and is on the Rideau Heritage Water Route. Some trails in the park are groomed for cross-country skiing by the Tay Valley Ski Club who hold an annual ski loppet here each winter.  Murphy’s Point is also the home of one of Lanark County’s 7 Wonders: The Silver Queen Mica Mine.

Silver Lake Provincial Park  has water access to Silver Lake and is close to the Fall River.
