voteMonday, October 25, 2010 is Election Day across Ontario . Municipal Elections are held every four years. Tay Valley residents vote for the offices of Reeve, Deputy Reeve, Councillor and school board Trustee. By voting, you are not only exercising your democratic right, but you are also helping to set the future direction of Tay Valley Township .

The Township provides the day-to-day services you count on – from fire and police services, to roads, bridges and waste and recycling disposal sites, and including recreation, planning and building permits. Township Council decides how your property tax dollars are spent and establishes the level and range of municipal services available in our community. Voting matters!

Voting for your school board Trustee is also important. Trustees develop and implement recommendations for educational programs, budgets, facilities and property issues, and policies and procedures that govern their Board’s operation.

I encourage you to check out the information provided here. Please note it will be updated and added to periodically.
